ProfileDawn Tezino joined MehaffyWeber in 2001. She concentrates her practice in general civil litigation with an emphasis in product liability, premise liability, employment law, toxic torts (including the defense of chemical and particulate exposures), insurance defense and complex civil litigation. Dawn is licensed to practice law in Texas and in Louisiana. Although her primary practice focus is the representation of corporate clients, Dawn is committed to providing pro bono representation to the underrepresented and underprivileged in her community.

EducationDawn graduated magna cum laude from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1998. She was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and was nominated for Who’s Who Among American Collegiate Scholars while attending the University. Dawn received a full academic scholarship from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated cum laude in 2001. She was named a William L. Crow Scholar, a designation reserved for students graduating in the top tenth percentile of their law school class.
ActivitiesDawn currently serves on the board of the Jefferson County Young Lawyers and in 2005 was selected to chair the “Katrina/Rita Legal Assistance Task Force.” She also serves on the Land Manor Board of Directors, which facilitates and oversees various facilities in the Beaumont area which provide counseling and other essential rehabilitative services to people with drug addictions and other related problems.
Memberships and HonorsDawn is a member of the Texas and Louisiana State Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Jefferson County Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association. She is also active in the DuPont Minority Counsel within the DuPont legal network and is currently Co-Chair of the newsletter.
