Michele Y. Smith elected as District Director of Texas Association of Defense Counsel Member from 2004 to 2006
Michele Y. Smith, a shareholder with the law firm of Mehaffy Weber is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Michele earned her doctor of jurisprudence from Baylor Law School and has been with the firm since 1993. Her trial work is concentrated on the defense of toxic tort, products liability, premises liability, and employment and labor law cases. She defends businesses involved in complex personal injury litigation.
The Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Inc., is an organization of Texas civil trial attorneys in private practice whose purpose is to bring together by association, communication and organization, lawyers of Texas who devote a substantial amount of their professional time to the handling of litigated civil cases and whose representation in such cases is primarily other than of plaintiffs' personal injury cases.
