Michele Y. Smith named a member of the International Association of Defense Attorneys
Michele Y. Smith joins M. C. Carrington as a member of the International Association of Defense Attorneys. The International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) has been serving a distinguished membership of corporate and insurance defense attorneys since 1920. Its activities benefit the more than 2,400 invitation-only, peer-reviewed members and their clients as well as the civil justice system and the legal profession. The IADC takes a leadership role in many areas of legal reform and professional development.
Michele Y. Smith, a shareholder with the law firm of Mehaffy Weber, is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the TADC. Michele earned her doctor of jurisprudence from Baylor Law School and has been with the firm since 1993. Her trial work is concentrated on the defense of toxic tort, products liability, premises liability, and employment and labor law cases. She defends businesses involved in complex personal injury litigation.
