Dawn Tezino - Elected to National Bar Association, Commercial Law Section Executive Board, 2007-2008

Dawn Tezino is elected to National Bar Association, Commercial Law Section Executive Board, 2007-2008. In 1987, this group was formed within the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section to consider ways for NBA members in business practice to meet with institutional corporate clients for the purpose of developing professional relationships, and to create opportunities for institutional entities to seek out, meet and refer outside legal matters to African-American attorneys. Since its inception in 1988, the Minority Corporate Counsel has provided the opportunity for outside counsel from over100 corporations, including many insurance companies to meet and interact with well over 1,000 NBA members.

Dawn joined MehaffyWeber in 2001. She concentrates her practice in general civil litigation, with an emphasis in product liability, premise liability, employment law, toxic torts (including the defense of chemical and particulate exposures), insurance defense and complex civil litigation. Dawn is licensed to practice law in both Texas and in Louisiana. Although her primary practice focus is the representation of corporate clients, Dawn is committed to providing pro bono representation to the underrepresented and underprivileged in her community.
