Kate Broussard is an associate at MehaffyWeber in the firm’s business practice group with a concentration in corporate law, real estate transactions, estate planning and probate law, elder law, and oil and gas work. Kate earned her J.D. from Baylor Law School.
While in law school, Kate was active in Baylor’s Public Service Program, completing more than 200 hours of public service over her three years and receiving the distinction of Public Interest Scholar. She was especially involved in the Baylor Veteran’s Clinic and with the Baylor Pro Bono Transactional Team, which gave Kate a unique opportunity to speak with Veterans about their legal problems and gain valuable experience drafting estate planning and business organization documents. During her time at Baylor, Kate was also a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Zack Hawthorn, in United States District Court of the Eastern District of Texas. Prior to attending law school, Kate attended Texas A&M University and graduated cum laude.
