Dallas J. Barrington, was born on October 29, 1978, in Beaumont, Texas, and was raised by two public school teachers in Silsbee, Texas.  Mr. Barrington joined MehaffyWeber as a shareholder in December 2023, and focuses his law practice on civil litigation, handling personal injury matters, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense cases.  Prior to joining MehaffyWeber, Mr. Barrington started his legal career as a civil litigator with a law firm in Silsbee, Texas, served as an associate city judge for his hometown, was an assistant district attorney who advised governmental officials and prosecuted criminal cases on all levels in three different counties across Southeast Texas, served as a municipal prosecutor, was general counsel to a state legislator, and also maintained a solo law practice as a general law practitioner for 18 years in rural Southeast Texas.

Mr. Barrington graduated with special honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in government, and then studied law at Oklahoma City University, where he earned his juris doctor degree.  While in law school, Mr. Barrington helped co-found the Texas Legal Society, and was active in the student bar association, serving as the organization’s parliamentarian for multiple terms and also serving as a class officer his second year of law school.  In addition to being active in campus affairs while in law school, Mr. Barrington worked as a political operative on the district, regional, and state levels in Texas, and was a candidate for the Texas House of Representatives in 2004.

Outside of his law practice, Mr. Barrington serves as the Co-Managing Director for the Ward-Walker Seven Oaks Ranch of Ozona, Texas, serves as the Chief Executive Officer for a Southeast Texas real estate investment company, is active with the Hardin County Ducks Unlimited Chapter, has previously served as a board member for the Foundation for Southeast Texas, was President of the Silsbee Kiwanis Club, taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church in Silsbee, Texas, and served by appointment of Texas Governor Rick Perry on the Texas Crime Victims’ Institute Advisory Board, and subsequently, the Texas Juvenile Justice Advisory Board.

When not working, Mr. Barrington enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, whether that be on the beach or pursuing wild game or fish afield with his daughters in the wilds of Texas.
