Jerry Fazio is a shareholder at MehaffyWeber, where he focuses his practice on nonsubscriber defense, premises liability defense, transportation defense, subrogation, and ERISA defense. With decades of litigation experience, Mr. Fazio is known for his strategic advocacy, deep knowledge of defense law, and success handling complex, high-exposure matters.

Mr. Fazio’s distinguished legal career includes service as a briefing attorney for Chief Justice Curtiss Brown of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, as well as practice with respected defense firms including Burford & Ryburn, Dodge Fazio Anderson & Jones, and Owen & Fazio P.C. His appellate background and extensive trial experience allow him to effectively represent clients at every stage of litigation.

He earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in December 1987, where he received honors in American Jurisprudence and Texas Procedure. Mr. Fazio completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Arlington, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Speech Communications.

Mr. Fazio is licensed to practice law in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Washington, D.C., and is admitted to practice before multiple federal courts, including the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the Northern and Eastern District Courts of Oklahoma.

He is active in the legal community and holds membership in the Association of Defense Trial Lawyers, International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Claims Litigation Management. His professional excellence has been recognized by the Texas Association of Defense Counsel where he received the President’s Award.

Mr. Fazio has argued and contributed to significant appellate decisions, including Jack in the Box v. Skiles (Texas Supreme Court, 1997) and In re Odyssey Healthcare (Texas Supreme Court, 2007). He is also a frequent speaker and author on nonsubscriber issues, including presenting a Nonsubscriber Case Law Update at the State Bar of Texas Advanced Personal Injury Seminar (2025) and publishing on the same topic for the State Bar of Texas.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Fazio is active in the community, serving as a Board Member of Camp Summit and as a Knight of Columbus, Council 799.
