
Kaitlyn Smith-Provost, a Southeast Texas native, joined MehaffyWeber as an associate attorney after earning her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2024, where she graduated cum laude. During her time in law school, Kaitlyn served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review and earned multiple academic awards, including the Davis Gerald & Cremer Scribes Award for outstanding writing and editing skills. She also received recognition for her legal scholarship, with her comment, The 10-Day Law and Physician-Assisted Suicide: The Need for More Consistency for End-of-Life Decisions in Texas, published in the Texas Tech Law Review.
