Kristie Tobin joined MehaffyWeber as a shareholder in 2024. She is an experienced trial lawyer whose principal area of practice is civil litigation disputes, with a particular focus on insurance coverage disputes, personal injury and wrongful death disputes, and commercial disputes. She also regularly advises insurers and reinsurers on complex coverage issues. Since 2001, Kristie has guided her clients through every stage of their legal disputes, including pre-litigation investigation and risk analysis, motion practice and discovery phases, alternative dispute resolution and negotiations, and trial and appeal, when necessary.
Kristie was raised in Houston, Texas and received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University in 1995. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 2001. While in law school, Ms. Tobin interned at the First Court of Appeals of Texas and was a member of the South Texas Law Review. She is licensed to practice law in Texas, as well as in the United States Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas. She is also admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
