Michael Perez guides insurance carriers and insureds through every phase of challenging civil litigation in Texas and Oklahoma. He has resolved numerous cases through trial, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution involving a broad range of areas, including non-subscriber work injury claims, workers’ compensation, premises liability, medical malpractice, commercial trucking accidents and Dram Shop liability. Michael also prosecutes subrogation claims on behalf of insurance carriers and advises clients on risk management issues. Michael has also handled construction and surety litigation disputes.
In addition, Michael has the versatility to represent clients in commercial litigation concerning breach of contract, debt collection and other business disputes.
Michael is certified as a court-appointed mediator to help parties resolve all types of civil litigation, and he is often called on by the Better Business Bureau to serve as an arbitrator in a variety of business disputes. He has served as a judge on the Collin County Teen Court – a volunteer program that educates teenagers about the judicial process and allows juvenile defendants to resolve misdemeanor citations through community service.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys spending family vacations at the beach or in the mountains, coaching his children’s sports teams and cooking for his family.
