Patricia “Pat” Chamblin has practiced law at MehaffyWeber since she graduated from law school. In addition to being an experienced litigator and healthcare lawyer, Ms. Chamblin has extensively worked in the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Ms. Chamblin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Abilene Christian College before attending the University of Texas Law School. She obtained her J.D. degree with honors and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation, she joined MehaffyWeber where she focuses her work on healthcare law, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation.

In addition to her legal work, Ms. Chamblin is an active member of the legal community. She was on the Texas Supreme Court’s Professional Ethics Committee from 2013 to 2022, serving as chair from 2018 to 2021. She has also served on numerous committees for the State Bar of Texas including serving as member and chair of Texas Board of Legal Specialization Personal Injury Trial Law Advisory Committee, the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, and the District III-A Grievance Committee.  She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 1991 and the Texas Super Lawyers® by Thomson Reuters since 2003.  She is rated as AV Preeminent® 5.0 out of 5.0 Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.®  She was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1994 as an associate member.

Ms. Chamblin has received the following awards: State Bar of Texas, Presidential Citation (2011); Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Jefferson County Bar Association, Professionalism Award (2010); Judge John Hannah, Jr. Award for Public Service by the Eastern District of Texas Bench/Bar (2010); the Jefferson County Bar Association Michelle F. Mehaffy Pro Bono Award (2004); and Jefferson County Bar Association Outstanding Young Lawyer (1990).
