Ryan Christopher Scott joined MehaffyWeber as a Shareholder in 2021, focusing his practice on insurance law and personal injury defense. Ryan has worked in the legal industry since 1999, working at some of the top law firms in the region for his practice areas. Ryan is a trial lawyer who has experience at every stage of litigation, from filing lawsuits through appeals. He handles an array of litigation for insurance carriers and businesses on the defense side.
Ryan graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor Arts in Political Science in 1996. He earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1999. He is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. He is one of only a small percentage of Texas lawyers to become Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction he has maintained since 2008.
Ryan is a member of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section and Insurance Section, the Jefferson County Bar Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
