For more than 30 years, Barbara Jane Barron has represented clients in personal injury, mass tort, products liability, commercial litigation, and other complex civil litigation and has effectively and efficiently coordinated the nationwide and statewide defense for defendants. Her litigation experience includes numerous first chair trials in counties across the State of Texas to successful results, arguing major motions in various states, and taking lead for the defense group on significant motions in several states. Barbara has been requested by numerous courts to serve on steering committees and to act as liaison counsel to the bench. Her clients include well-recognized national companies who desire their litigation to be effectively, efficiently, and economically managed and who want the experience of trial lawyer who can try their cases to verdict when necessary.

Additionally, Barbara has tried car wreck, slip and fall, will contests, contract dispute, and on the job injury cases to successful defense verdicts. She has argued successfully hundreds of motions for summary judgments. Because of her nonprofit work, Barbara has been involved in nonprofit and employment law issues and cases. Barbara joined MehaffyWeber in 1984. Before then, she was the briefing attorney for United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas, Robert M. Parker.

  • No. 4:13;CV;1183; Clark Collins v ABB, Inc., et al, in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. Court concluded that valve manufacturer owed no duty under Texas law on theories of strict liability and negligence to warn of alleged dangers arising from use of asbestos flange gaskets and asbestos external insulation in connection with valves made by equipment manufacturer when equipment manufacturer did not supply flange gaskets and did not supply insulation.
