Hard Working and Forward Thinking

MehaffyWeber was founded in 1946 as a litigation firm. As our clients’ needs expanded, we evolved into a broad-based regional law firm still with a strong emphasis in litigation. Our trial lawyers practice in state and federal courts throughout Texas and other states, and our firm functions as regional counsel for several clients.

Today, we combine the traditional values upon which our firm was founded with an advanced and proactive approach to the practice of law. We understand and appreciate that not all cases or client situations are alike. We tailor our approaches to best suit the individual needs of the client. We are proud to have a long record of winning cases in tough jurisdictions, but we also know that not all cases need to be tried.  We use legal motions and other means to achieve positive results pre-trial, and when appropriate, we work hand in hand with our clients to secure advantageous settlements.

We believe that our relationships with our clients are tangible assets. We work with each, in a collaborative approach, to develop plans for successful representation. We often work with other firms to build a strong diverse team where indicated. We are open to joint ventures that expand our reach and have worked with firms of various sizes in other states to drive successful results. We enjoy developing a strong trial team drawn from other firms resulting in a team of effective diverse talents.

Today, we continue to believe that hard work, ethical and innovative approaches are core values that result in success for the firm and our clients. MehaffyWeber has been named in the 2026 edition of Best Law Firms® as a Tier 2 national firm for Construction Law and Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants and was also named a Tier 1 firm for 19 practice areas; a Tier 2 firm for seven practice areas; and a Tier 3 firm in five practice areas in Beaumont, Houston, San Antonio.
