Stephanie P. Shoemaker is an Associate in the Beaumont office and works primarily in the commercial litigation group. Stephanie started her career as a forensic financial auditor in the Austin, Texas office of Ernst & Young, LLP’s (EY) Assurance and Advisory Services division in the Gulf Coast region. Stephanie was part of the Temple Inland audit team during the first year of implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
After years in public accounting, Stephanie decided to get her law degree and joined MehaffyWeber, P.C. She brings her financial and accounting skills to benefit clients in evaluating damage models and valuing properties, assets and other variables in case values. She obtained a Bachelors and Masters degrees from Texas A&M University and graduated magna cum laude. She is a Certified Public Accountant and graduate of South Texas College of Law.
When not doing legal research and writing, you can find Stephanie walking the hike and bike trails, watching birds at Cattail Marsh, or listening to zydeco music at Pine Tree Lodge, global musicians at 7oaks listening room in LaBelle, Texas, or the Symphony of Southeast Texas at the historical Julie Rogers Theater in downtown Beaumont. She enjoys fishing and kayaking.
